HOW TO

 

Þ     Obtain an ID cardID cards are available in the Surbeck Center Dorr Room, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, August 29th through August 31st.

 

Þ     Obtain your network login information - Go to ITS Tablet Central in the basement  of the Library or go to the following URL: http://its.sdsmt.edu/ and click on the How Do I..? link on the left side for more information.

Þ     Pay your tuition/fees - On-line payment for tuition and fees can be made via Web Advisor from a personal computer or from a campus computer lab.  Payment or financial arrangements for the fall 2011 term must be made with the Financial Aid Department located in the Surbeck Center McKeel Room before 4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2011.  (Photo ID required.)  Failure to make financial arrangements by 4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 may result in cancellation of your classes and/or a late payment fee.

 

Þ     Cashiers will be available in the Student Accounts/Cashiers Office for paper check payments.

 

Þ     Financial Aid checks will NOT be available at the Cashier’s Office.  All refund checks will be direct deposited or mailed to the address specified in your registration confirmation.

 

Þ     Admission/Readmission/AcceptanceIf you have not yet been accepted for admission/readmission, report to the Admissions Office in the O’Harra Building, Room 200.  Please bring your immunization records with you.

 

Þ     If you are a transfer or continuing student, report to your mentor/advisor to discuss your course schedule.  Once you have done this, you may then register online via WebAdvisor from a personal computer or from one of the campus computer labs. Your mentor/advisor information is available on WebAdvisor for Students, under My Profile.   If you need help registering on Registration Day, report to the Registration Help Desk located in the Surbeck Center Bump Lounge &/or Hardrock Room.

 

Þ     To change tuition classification, report to Toni Schauer in the Registrar and Academic Services Office, O’Harra Building, Room 201.

 

Þ     To change or add a Dining Services contract, report to the Student Accounts/Cashiers Office in the Surbeck Center. 

 

Þ     To change or add a Residence Hall room, report to Residence Life in Surbeck Center, next to the Information Desk.

Þ     Complete Direct Sub/Unsub and/or Perkins Entrance Loan Counseling - All first time borrowers at SDSM&T must complete the on-line loan counseling.  If you have borrowed a Stafford, Direct Sub/Unsub and/or a Perkins loan at another university, contact the Financial Aid Office in the O’Harra Building, Room 216 (go through Admissions Office entrance and down the hallway), or call toll free at 877/877-6044, or locally, call 394-2274 or email at: financialaid@sdsmt.edu for further instructions.
